What You’ll Do
As a Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter, you’ll play a critical role in protecting people and property by producing accurate, code-compliant system designs that support our Fire Protection and Low Voltage teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Embody State Systems’ mission of protecting life and property in every project.
Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures using AutoCAD and other CAD platforms.
Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Design layouts, perform field checks, create fabrication listings, material and equipment submittals, calculations, installation requirements, and close-out documentation.
Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards and maintain scope of company obligations.
Support both Fire Protection and Low Voltage projects.
Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local codes.
Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
Maintain organization, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of CAD experience.
2+ years using Windows-based AutoCAD design software.
1–2 years of Fire Sprinkler / Life Safety design experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook (2+ years).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Ability to work seated at a desk for a standard eight-hour workday.
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: Based on education, experience, and credentials
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts
Payment Frequency: Biweekly
Supplemental Pay: Referral Bonus
