Accounts Payable Manager

What will you do?

SSI seeks an accomplished Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP efforts. This role is responsible for the management of a team in AP operations. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
 

· Manage the company’s Accounts Payable operations including proper 3-way match on all inventory purchases.

· Oversee all payment transactions including ACH, wires and physical checks.

· Work in collaboration with the company’s Purchasing team members across multiple locations/divisions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the payments cycle.

· Ensure critical vendors are paid timely and that invoices are properly recorded in a timely manner to ensure all payments are issued within applicable payment terms for all vendors.

· Provide excellent customer service and ensuring quick and accurate communication with internal and external constituents.

· Proactively research and resolve account issues with vendors.

· Maintain an effective internal control environment.

· Pursue continuous improvements to processes and procedures to improve department performance and efficiency.

· Collaborate with and support the reporting needs of all business partners.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This job supervises a team of associates.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience in an Accounting or Accounts Payable supervisory role

· Experience successfully managing a team of associates

· Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail

· Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignments

· Proven cross-team collaboration, problem-solver, networking, team building, organizational, and communication skills

· Hands-on experience with ERP implementation and workflow setup is a plus

· Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or computer science is a plus

· This job may require occasional travel <10%

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and other MS Office products.
